How We Estimate NIL Value

Where estimated NIL values come from

Estimated NIL values shown on player profiles and rankings originate from On3's published NIL valuation model, which weighs social reach, performance, and market context. They are estimates of market value — not confirmed compensation, contract amounts, or earnings. The financial terms of most NIL activity are private, and an estimate can differ substantially from what an athlete actually earns.

Values update as new public data is published. Every value carries an “as of” date so you can see exactly how current it is. We never adjust, blend, or invent figures of our own.

Confidence labels

Every value, deal, and report on the site carries one of four labels:

• Verified

  Confirmed by the athlete, their representative, or a party to the deal, or backed by a public filing. Verified figures are rare — most NIL terms are private.

• Reported

  Published by a credible news source we cite and link. We attribute the report; we do not independently confirm the underlying terms.

• Estimated

  A modeled estimate, not confirmed compensation. Our estimated NIL values originate from On3's published valuation model, which weighs social reach, on-field performance, and market context.

• Terms not disclosed

  An activity or deal is known to exist, but its financial terms have not been made public. We never guess at terms.

Recruiting rankings and player data

Star ratings, national/position/state rankings, measurements, and commitment status come from publicly published recruiting industry data. Reported coverage links to the original publisher — we cite sources rather than restate claims as our own.

Minors, profile claims, and contact

Many of the athletes covered here are under 18. We do not publish contact information, representation status, or availability for commercial inquiry on any profile. Athletes, parents or guardians, and authorized representatives can claim a profile to manage its information; claims for minor athletes require a parent or guardian.
